A new grant and a new position in the lab!
We have been awarded a generous amount of funding from the lundbeck foundation for a new project!
The project is part of a larger collaborative programme entitled ADAPT-PD (ADAptive and Precise Targeting of cortex-basal ganglia circuits in Parkinson´s Disease), funded by the Lundbeck Foundation and coordinated by Prof. Hartwig Siebner (Danish Research Centre for Magnetic Resonance, Hvidovre, DK). With its ambitious 5-year plan, ADAPT-PD aims at identifying key alterations in network dynamics causing motor and non-motor impairments in PD, as well as developing new therapeutic approaches based on non-invasive neuromodulation. Within this programme, the Lund site (headed by Angela Cenci Nilsson) has the main responsibility for the preclinical studies in experimental models.
In this project we will use advanced behavioral tracking, optogenetics and in-vivo recording of genetically encoded reporters of neural activity to investigate rodent models of PD.
We are looking for a postdoctoral fellow to take lead in this project. The general requirments are a Ph.D. degree in a relevant field obtained no longer than 3 years ago, proficiency in data handling and fluent oral and written communications in english.
If you are interested in the project, dont be shy! send an email to Angela (Angela.Cenci_Nilsson@med.lu.se) !
